Wondering how we might practice the art of collaboration together? Below are six questions for self-assessment:
- Are you tired of harmful patterns of the status quo and open to embracing change and navigating challenges together?
- Do you value collaboration and building strong relationships in your work?
- Do you prioritize and actively make space for collective wisdom and diverse perspectives?
- Are you seeking a partner who can design and adapt to the needs of the ones for whom the journey matters and fosters growth?
- Is abundance, shared responsibility and lightness core to your approach?
- Is the purpose your bouncer (๐ โThe Art of Gatheringโ) when you craft an invitation? And do you care about what participants eat, see and hear when searching for a location that nourishes the wellbeing of all?
My work takes many forms:
- I help organizations realign from having power over their people to giving power to their people.
- I tend to the shoots of trust and connection until they bloom into psychological safety.
- I encourage space for everyone to make mistakes and be messy.
- I guide, shape, and empower communities.
- I enable massive creativity.
- I facilitate.
The term โfacili-doulaโ best encapsulates my role. I provide a helping hand through times of tension and friction. ย Someone who accompanies you with care, wit and gronding, while you ride the waves of contraction and expansion of birthing something new. By tapping into shared values, celebrating diversity, and guiding teams through bespoke learning engagements and processes.
Which means when we work together:
- You foster independence.
- You build happier, more resilient teams.
- You encourage people to bring their โwhole selvesโ to the room.
- You discover newfound closeness, connection, and room for collaboration.
- You find inspiration from new and unexpected places, free from inhibition and roles.
- You start to see growth everywhere โ in your people, in your business, in yourself and beyond.
Does collaboration with a โfacili-doulaโ entail more work? You bet! While working together through the process of nurturing something new within your organization may be filled with frustration, fun and frenzy. It is the sweetest burden with an ultimate reward. With me by your side.

Testimonials
Participants were deeply engaged thanks to their thoughtful approach. They masterfully balanced structured guidance with organic collaboration, ensuring every voice was heard and valued. What stood out was their end-to-end ownership: they didnโt just facilitate discussions but curated the entire experience, from logistical precision to transformative learning moments. The 'before' and 'after' of their work was clear: what began as a room of disparate perspectives transformed into an aligned community with shared purpose (the LLL Brave Village).
What sets them apart is their rare combination of strategic insight and human-centered facilitation. They donโt just manage discussions, they build trust and unlock collective wisdom. Any organization would benefit from their expertise in participatory facilitation and systems change.โ
Sara brings a rare combination of proactive collaboration, deep intuition, and creative problem-solving. She consistently approached challenges and changes with generative solutions. I was deeply impressed by how she was able to integrate feedback while holding on to what was essential in the program design process.
Her attention to each participant, care for detail, flexibility, playfulness and adaptability were remarkable. She exceeded all expectations again and again.
During our closing reflection, one of the members of our planning team who had not been involved in inviting Sara as facilitator said: "Working with Sara was one of the best decisions we made!" If youโre looking for a master facilitator who can guide complex groups with both strategy and heart, I cannot recommend Sara highly enough.โ
I found that participants and co-facilitators alike were delighted with her work and being. It is easy in describing the impact of someone as skilled as Sara, to fall into vague feel-good terms. What delighted me is her capacity to see the whole (in this case a six day multi-cultural, multi-language event with 60 participants and 5 facilitators who had not worked together as a team before, and who hailed from five different countries on two continents). At the same time she was highly attentive to the moment, the rhythm, the team dynamics, the groupโs dynamics, and the multiple levels on which behaviours could be understood. Each of my conversations with her taught me something about how I could facilitate and cooperate more effectively.
I would highly recommend Sara for work with organisations that are seeking to improve motivation, needing to restructure, and/or needing to find ways to engage stakeholders usefully. She is an exceptional talent who steps in with poise, clarity and warmth. A joy to work with!โ
Her integrity is rare and unwavering. She doesnโt just talk about valuesโshe lives them. She stands up for her peers and embodies diversity, equity, and inclusion in every space she creates. Every session she leads is not just effective but deeply meaningful.
When Sara hosts a session, she weaves connections that make collaboration not only possible but purposeful. If you want to create a space where leadership is shared, trust is built, and real change can take root, Sara is the person to work with.โ
Sara has an intuitive sense of when to step back and when to guide the conversation. She is a conscious listener, a clear communicator and highly skilled at helping our group engage in genuine dialogue that resulted in group synergy. Sara possesses both a gentleness and a fierce courage that she uses like a peaceful warrior to surface and use our collective wisdom.
Not only is Sara a gifted facilitator, she is rigorously disciplined in making sure that every person has a right to speak and participate. The work she did with us was extraordinary. I highly recommend Sara!โ
Saraโs knowledge of different cultures, the policies of the Netherlands, as well as the role of government, private sector and civil society makes her a great candidate for facilitating different trainings: from team building to open communication skills.
Sara is a great listener, ask the right questions and is willing to exchange ideas to find a suitable solution.โ
